About Us

Grief Matters started in 2023 from a passion project. Our team has grown to include multiple identities, geographies, skills, and experiences. We are: community members, academics, artists, social media experts, Nova Scotians, Ontarians, family members, caregivers, and grievers. We bring together a unique balance of perspectives to think passionately and critically about what grief is and how grief should be integrated into our many communities. We want to keep learning through everything Grief Matters does.
