I Wonder

This month’s cartoon is by Co-Cartoonist-in-Residence, Savannah Tries. Savannah spoke with artist, Cathy Busby, about her experiences with grief as a caregiver for her late husband, artist and art educator Garry Neill Kennedy, during his dementia decline.

Savannah met Cathy when she was giving a talk at the Halifax Art Book Fair about her recent publication, I Wonder: Art+Care+Dementia. The following comic comes from a combination of an interview with Cathy and excerpts from her book. I Wonder: Art+Care+Dementia is available for purchase ($25) at The Polygon Gallery, READ books, The Federal Store, National Gallery of Canada Boutique, Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Shop, and Art Metropole (in store and online). We’re grateful to Cathy for her generosity and reflections.
